THE MORAN PLAN - 300+ Actions over Five Years
I am committing to deliver a range of specific actions which within 5 years will result in:
- a more liveable Limerick with more affordable housing and better quality of life;
- a more prosperous Limerick with more jobs for our graduates and others; and
- a more healthy Limerick with wellbeing at its core.
My list of priorities may be wider than those of other candidates. But I make no apology for that. Years of study, discussions with experts in planning and my own experience in government policy have taught me one important lesson - when you forget one leg of the stool it falls over.
We are now a very rich country and so we should be able to get it right finally for everyone not just a privileged minority.
For me, as Mayor, I will deliver, when it comes
- To housing - MORE FOR LIMERICK
- To safely on our street - MORE FOR LIMERICK.
- To healthcare and public services - MORE FOR LIMERICK.
- To jobs – MORE FOR LIMERICK
- To public transport – MORE FOR LIMERICK
- To equal opportunity for all our communities – MORE FOR LIMERICK
- To public parks, sporting facilities and other amenities – MORE FOR LIMERICK
- And to delivery of infrastructure – MORE FOR LIMERICK
Each of these pillars is set out in greater detail over the following three sections. To ensure delivery and accountability, I have set out over 300 examples of actions I am committing to deliver over the 5 year mayoral term.
Pillar 1 - A More Liveable Limerick - 111 Examples of Mayoral Actions
Pillar 2 - A More Properous Limerick - 149 Examples of Mayoral Actions
Pillar 3 - A More Healthy Limerick - 43 Examples of Mayoral Actions
All towards creating one of the most desirable places to live in Ireland.
Each section below has:-
- a brief introduction to the areas of focus in that pillar.
- a video of my presentation and the discussion on the night of the launch.
- a link to the press release
- a full policy booklet
