Limerick is in for a tough fight to get Bus-Connects back on track. Dublin's Metro North and Children Hospital keep gobbling up money but we know what we stand for in the Mid-West - ourselves, our kids and their futures. It is now time to make our voices count.
- Bus-Connects was promised in 2023 for delivery in Limerick in 2025 - now we are being told not until 2030
- Bus-Connects is a key enabler of growth for Limerick and without it we slow below our potential and people leave to go East or beyond
- Bus-Connects is key to give a fair opportunity and access to services for people who cannot afford a car
- Bus-Connects gives us our best chance to deliver more affordable housing for all
- Bus-Connects moves us towards a net-zero region
- Bus-Connects enables the commuter train system not replaces it.
And worst, delaying again just makes it even more expensive to delivery and more likely to be long-fingered again.
We need it and we need Government to deliver it now.
