We all know change does not come easy in Ireland. 

Even though the voters in Limerick voted resoundingly for real change, some in the establishment have not been making change easy whether out of fear or because change is not always easy - especially if it spreads as a new way of doing local government n Ireland.  

But I am not prepared to see all these efforts lead to #DEMocracyDenied.

And I hear every day that many others agree.  During 2025 we saw people speak up again and push back effectively against those not wanting to see change. 

Indeed, I am inspired daily by the number of people who come up to me and tell me to keep pushing forward. 

Many people in Limerick and beyond ask me how they can help more. 

Everyone's time is precious but it's time to find more ways to keep the pressure on.
