“Here we go again. More delays for Limerick.
Listen, somebody in Limerick must have known about this already. This didn’t just land from out of the blue. So, what have our own councillors and TDs been doing to get ahead of this public standoff? It could easily been escalated to the Minister’s and the Taoiseach’s office to be sorted out earlier.
Let’s just remember it’s the Taoiseach that runs the country and he could sort this out straight away and do what is right for Limerick.
At the same time, let us not allow this local squabble causes us to lose sight of the real objective. This fight is only about 400 homes which is a lot but we need thousands.
Let’s keep our focus on that task and make the LDA deliver those quickly. I have said it over and over again, we need down here in Limerick to see more action, more homes and more jobs. And, it is up to the Taoiseach now to show he can deliver those.”
